Ysgwn i faint ohonoch sy’n gwybod am Ardd Gudd Plas Cadnant ar gwr Porthaethwy, Ynys Môn? Mae’n werth ymweliad ar unrhyw adeg o’r flwyddyn ac yn wir mae’n werth taith arbennig. I roi ychydig o gefndir i chi. Mae afon Cadnant yn llifo i’r Fenai ychydig lathenni tu allan i dref Porthaethwy, ar y ffordd tuag at Biwmares. Cyn codi pont grog y Borth yn 1826 dyma oedd anheddfa’r ardal gyda fferi yn croesi o Fangor i Ynys Môn a glanio yma. Fe’i gelwid yn Fferi’r Esgob gan ei bod yn cludo’r Esgob yma ac yna ymlaen i Fiwmares. Mae olion o fodolaeth pobl yn Cadnant o’r Oes Efydd, yr Oes Haearn ac Oes y Rhufeiniaid.
