Mae’n rhyfeddol meddwl bod chwarter aelodau cangen Gorseinon yn siaradwyr newydd y Gymraeg ac wedi dysgu’r iaith yn oedolion. Ac eleni ymhlith y rhain mae dwy ffrind a dwy chwaer a ddaeth atom yn sgil mynychu sesiynau sgwrsio difyr Meic a Rahel Williams ym Mhontarddulais. Magwyd Chris Soons a Sharon Woodward yn ardal Winch Wen, Abertawe ac mae eu cefndiroedd yn eitha tebyg, – roedd eu mamau ill dwy yn deall neu’n siarad Cymraeg ond gan fod eu tadau yn ddi-Gymraeg, Saesneg oedd iaith yr aelwyd. Trigai mam-gu a thad-cu Sharon gyda’r teulu ond er eu bod Gymry-Cymraeg, doedden nhw ddim yn siarad yr iaith gyda hi. Ond eto, roedd awydd gwirioneddol i’r plant ddysgu’r iaith.
