High School Woodworking Contest Hosted by Castle USA

High school woodworkers accepted the challenge presented to them in the “What’s Your Angle” contest. The results were impressive.

Castle USA, maker of high-quality pocket-cutting machines manufactured in the USA, decided to host a “What’s Your Angle” woodworking contest recently. It had three rules: 1. Show the use of screw-pocket joinery or the innovative use of screw pockets. 2. At least 75 percent of the material used in the project should be wood. 3. Project has been created within the past 12 months. Entries could be from a class working together on a project or an individual working in a high school setting. The goal was to promote woodworking in education. “Castle is proud to support woodworking education. In today’s challenging labor market, it’s more important than ever for us and others to invest in developing talent and to recognize woodworking excellence,” the company said.
