If you prefer to cook without spirits, just substitute apple juice for the whiskey. Irish Whiskey Glazed Corned Beef Is there a way to make tender corned beef even tastier? Yes, with our scrumptious sweet ’n spicy Irish whiskey glaze! 4 lbs. corned beef brisket 1 Tbs. peppercorns 1 cinnamon stick 1 bay leaf 1/4 cup Irish whiskey 1/4 cup cocktail sauce 2 Tbs. red pepper jelly • Preheat oven to 350°F. Place corned beef in roasting pan; sprinkle contents of seasoning packet, peppercorns, cinnamon stick and bay leaf over beef. Add 2 cups water; cover tightly with foil. Bake 3 1/2 hours or until tender. • Meanwhile, in small pot, combine whiskey, cocktail sauce and jelly; over medium-high heat, bring to a boil.
