“Crocuses make me smile!” Crocuses, the first flowers of spring, bring a smile to my face every time I walk past them in the flowerbed in front of our house. All winter long I anticipate their coming, looking expectantly for those first green buds. When I see them, I know that daffodils and tulips—and warm spring weather—aren’t far behind.
