Bee friendly From us to you New wild flower habitats in the South Downs have given a much-needed boost to the area’s bee population. Sussex locals helped raise £75,000 to fund the planting of wild flower ‘corridors’ across farms, fields and road verges, forming vital pathways for insects and pollinators. Since linking key wildlife areas with meadows, the South Downs National Park Trust says it has seen a 72% increase in pollinator species, including butterflies, moths, bees and bugs. GHOULISH GARDENS Glowing pumpkins with wicked grins, woodlands lit by neon cobwebs and fiendish fire artists are just a few of the wonderfully spooky spectacles at Chiswick House & Gardens this Halloween. From 14-31 October, its fun-filled trail will thrill daring visitors with all sorts of ghostly goings-on. Tickets cost £16.50…
