Energy and food bills may be soaring, but there are things you can do to keep warm and cosy, both inside and out. Layer up How you dress is key. Layers trap air, which acts as an insulator. Start with a thermal vest, followed by a wool or fleece sweater, plus a gilet, shawl or blanket. Go for jogging or fleecy bottoms, and thermal socks with slippers or fur-lined boots. Any insulating coat or jacket is good, while thermal gloves and a hat are essential in winter.
