THE STORY SO FAR One of the highlights of Maria and her husband Steve’s Norwegian winter cruise is a night in the Arctic wilderness, staying in a hotel made out of snow. But when Steve comes down with a tummy bug, he convinces Maria to leave him on board and go without him. Handsome local guide Lars is left to take her under his wing and, together, they have some magical adventures, such as dog sledding. Starryeyed from all the excitement, many feelings are rekindled in Maria, just not necessarily for the man she has been married to for 30 years.
