Ahead of the final-ever episode of Gavin & Stacey, the iconic sitcom’s leading lass Joanna Page reflects on the end of the show, rediscovering herself and considering adoption

Standing in the grounds of our rural Buckinghamshire location house, resplendent in a floor-length scarlet gown, Joanna Page is living her own fairy tale. ‘I never, ever wear red. I feel so beautiful,’ she beams. ‘Like a princess.’ A perfectly apt description, coming from TV royalty. Joanna, 47, shot to fame in 2007 playing Stacey Shipman in iconic BBC comedy Gavin & Stacey, following a career-launching role in Love Actually four years earlier.
