91 The Winery At Holy Cross Abbey 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon (Palisade). Scents of cranberry and raspberry are joined by black pepper and shishito on the nose. On the palate, cranberry and lingonberry provide a solid fresh fruit base with tart, flirty acidity leading to green tobacco leaf and worn oak. The dusty tannins are firmly structured but well managed. The finish offers a heavenly combination of blackberry and orange. —F.A.

90 The Winery At Holy Cross Abbey 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Palisade). The nose offers sawdust and sweet tobacco leaves. This starts with cherry and then ventures towards oak, cigar wrapper and tree bark on the palate. There is plenty of acidity to balance the dusty tannins. The finish lingers on a refreshing cranberry note. —F.A.
