A busy family's decision to get some much-needed assistance around the house turns into a nightmare in Channel 5's thriller The Au Pair.
The four-parter centres on seamstress Zoe (Sally Bretton), who lives in the Cotswolds with her doctor husband Chris (Kenny Doughty) and stepchildren Amber (Margot Pue) and Noah (Ripley Barden), while caring for her former gynaecologist father George (Sir David Suchet), who has diabetes, and lives in the annexe.

As commitments mount, Zoe, who's also grieving the loss of her unborn baby, reluctantly agrees to Chris' suggestion they get an au pair and they hire Sandrine (Ludmilla Makowski), who's from France.
