DI Sunil 'Sunny' Khan (Sanjeev Bhaskar) and DCI Jess James (Sinéad Keenan) have a gruesome cold case to solve when the award-winning drama Unforgotten returns for a sixth series.
'At the start, we find what appears to be a body part in Whitney Marsh,' says Sinéad, who joined the show in Series 5. 'When Sunny and Jess carry out a search, we discover it's a man who's collected various enemies throughout his life.'

As the investigation unfolds, four characters, who are all linked to the crime in some way, are introduced. Melinda Ricci (MyAnna Buring) is an outspoken television commentator based in Ireland, Martin 'Marty' Baines (Maximilian Fairley) is an autistic man who lives with his mum, Dot (Michele Dotrice), in Kent, Asif Syed (Elham Ehsas) is an Afghan refugee training for his UK citizenship test and Juliet Cooper (Victoria Hamilton) works as a history lecturer at a London university.
'It's always fantastic working with our guest stars,' says Sanjeev.
'Victoria Hamilton and MyAnna Buring have done lots of amazing work before.
