Both Guy Martin's brother and sister were firefighters so, in the third episode of his Proper Jobs series, he wants to see if it's something he could do.
But before taking on a 24-hour shift at Peaks Lane Fire Station in his home town of Grimsby, he must undergo a week of rigorous training at the Fire Service College in Moreton-inMarsh, Gloucestershire.
There, he learns how to deal with a simulated motorway pile-up, a mock helicopter crash at an oil facility and to tackle the so-called 'fire box', a corrugated iron container filled with fire! 'All around my face was fire, I was right in the middle of it,' says Guy. 'What better way to understand fire than to be in one? I'm never going to forget that in my lifetime.
