Anya Taylor-Joy and Miles Teller are well-versed when it comes to action, with appearances in movies such as Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Top Gun: Maverick. But although their latest, The Gorge, still has thrills and spills aplenty, it's the tender side of the sci-fi horror that appealed to them both.
'The emphasis was always on the love story,' says Miles, who also starred in the Divergent franchise. 'It's a love story under tension - right when our characters seem at their happiest, they get thrown into hell.' Miles and Anya play Levi and Drasa, two elite snipers who are deployed for one year to posts on watchtowers on opposite sides of a vast, gorge, protecting the world highly-classified from the mysterious monsters that exist within it.
Bridging the gap
Legendary Hollywood star Sigourney Weaver (Alien, Gorillas in the Mist) plays ruthless boss Bartholomew, who's determined to protect the gorge's secrets and ensures Levi and Drasa are forbidden from communicating with each other during this time. However...
