Annie Roberts was shocked when her daughter Pattie confronted her about the affair she had during the war in last week's episode. The young mum overheard Annie (Faye Marsay) confessing her infidelity to Kate Thorne (Michelle Keegan) and now she's convinced her mother should tell her husband Terry (Warren Brown) the truth!
‘During the war, Annie had a relationship with a baker called Harry,’ says Faye. ‘Terry was away, presumed dead, so she was very lonely and Harry brought a bit of romance into her life. I think her memories of that time drive the frustrations she has with Terry now.’
In this week’s episode, we see how Annie cut off her fling with Harry (Ciarán Griffiths) as soon as she heard Terry was alive and on his way back...
