IT’S SAFE TO say that the Porsche Cayenne was met with some scepticism from car enthusiasts when it was first launched – mostly because the concept of a performance SUV didn’t really exist up until that point, and it especially wasn’t expected from a sports car brand like Porsche. But the Cayenne has gone on to be Porsche’s best-selling model, and the German brand will be hoping to replicate that success with the introduction of an all-new, fully electric model. Rather than replacing the current petrol and hybrid versions of the Cayenne, the electric model will be sold alongside them beyond 2030.
