Hoekom so sukkel by die grens?

Dit is ’n voorreg om deur ons buurlande te kan reis, maar daar moet iets gedoen word aan die situasie by die grensposte, sê Mic van Zyl.

Ek was bevoorreg genoeg om al deur plekke te reis soos Europa, die Midde-Ooste, Verre-Ooste, Mauritius en Australië, waar ons maatskappy se hoofkantoor is. Die meeste van my reise was wel padlangs deur Afrika. Ek het een van daardie ekstradik paspoorte, en dit is veilig om te sê ek reis meer as die meeste ander mense. Ek is geseënd om afgeleë wildernisgebiede te besoek en die plaaslike mense te ontmoet. Afrika is waarlik die tuin van Eden. Op hierdie reise deur Afrika het ek toeriste van reg oor die wêreld ontmoet. Dit bly spesiaal om hulle reaksie te ervaar wanneer hulle ’n kameelperd of renoster die eerste keer sien. ’n Mens kan sommer sien wie is nuwelinge op ons vasteland, en ek stel altyd belang om te hoor hoekom hulle besluit het…
