SAAMGESTEL DEUR TOAST COETZER

Rob Smith verken graag die woude naby sy tuisdorp, Plettenbergbaai. In September 2024 het hy afgekom op ’n broeipaar blouvisvangers en hulle elke dag begin afneem. Sy medefotograaf Karin Braby het later kom help om seker te maak hulle mis níks nie. Ek het die Piesangrivier verken in ’n woud wat deel is van die Plettenberg Bay Country Club toe ek ’n reënboogkleurige voël in die skadu ongeveer 20 m verder sien... Ek kon met behulp van my verkyker seker maak – ja, dit was wraggies die seldsame blouvisvanger! Die volgende oggend is ek terug na dieselfde kol – hierdie keer met my Nikon D850 en Nikon 200-400 mm-lens. Die blouvisvanger was weer daar, en nie alleen nie!
