Bolt Action Campaign: Case Blue By Alex Smith and Ryan Smith (Osprey Games, 2023) £25.00 D6, Dice-based Initiative In the month or so leading up to the release of this ‘campaign’ expansion for the enduringly popular Bolt Action game, Alex Smith – one of the two credited writers, alongside Ryan Smith – hosted a real-time Q and A session on social media in order to talk through his thoughts, and research behind the book. Bravo! This is exactly the kind of community engagement we like to see within the hobby; and the authors and publishers deserve commendation. It was a particularly pertinent choice when the geographic setting of this particular release sits in such a sensitive area in terms of current geopolitics, and it enabled Smith to note some of the inevitable difficulties…
