Fun though it is to 'field' the ships, necessity confined us to playing a land-based skirmish for Let's Play, (maritime and amphibious games are also options) and we had a great time doing so. This is a set of rules that works well at the skirmish level: we used the contents of the box with by just a few seamen from our own collections to try out extra options. ACTIVATION The game uses an innovative playingcard-based activation system. At the start of each turn, players draw a hand of cards equal to the number of units under their control (e.g. 6 units = 6 cards). The player then assigns a card to each unit.
