AN OLD FAVOURITE Our most popular post on Instagram and Twitter was an old model from the original Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader book. The model, built by Rick Priestley and still part of his gaming collection, was itself built out of spare parts and an old deodorant roller – rather apt for wargamers! It is the epitome of scratch building and improvisation to make a more-than-passable gaming model for the tabletop. Back then, there were very few sci-fi models and no 40K ones. This model is the grandfather of the Space Marine land speeder, the C3M4 drone (for Gates of Antares), the Storm Speeder, and the Primaris Repulsor hover tank.
