The latest game from Reisswitz Press is Midgard Heroic Battles, cov- ering warfare from myths, legends and fantasy. It is designed to be quick play with a focus on heroes leading their warriors into battle.

It is hard to pin down a period for the new rules, as it can cover any period where personal leadership is important and where heroes take the lead. This can span from the walls of ancient Troy to the legendary battles of King Arthur or from El Cid through to ‘Middle Earth’ and other realms of fantasy. This is reflected in the twelve force lists in the back of the book, but we'll look at these later. By the same token, the rules are effectively scale-agnostic, being equally playable in 6mm or 28mm, or any other scale.
