THE MAP

The map is drawn to reflect the terrain fought over on 11th and 12th February 1814. I have endeavoured to show the area covered by the allied army relatively accurately to help you layout your table, and have included a larger area than is necessary for the scenarios. The French are shown more schematically, with the blue dots representing sections of about 25 men, and the squares reserves of 50 men. The French initially deployed roughly as shown, with 250 fusiliers covering the south east and south west edges of the town, and 500 reserves held back in the town. A pair of guns were initially deployed in the south east, two more behind a barricade further into the town, and two on the island to provide flanking fire. Bourmont…
