THE BATTLES OF NEUMARKT AND WORGL, 1809 BAVARIA VS AUSTRIA

The Bavarians, allies of the French from 1805 onward, found themselves at the forefront of the conflict when the Austrians attacked Napoleon's dispersed forces in April 1809. Present at many of the major engagements, the Bavarians also fought nu- merous smaller-scale actions against Austrians and Tyrolean re- bels with varying success. Two of these battles are detailed below, enabling you to lead, or try to defeat, Wrede's Bavarian Division.

THEME In the scenarios detailed below, I have endeavoured to present battles playable in an evening, and that present challenges for both players. The rules you use may need to be adapted to allow for tactical-level combat down to company level, so long-established systems like General de Brigade work well.
