SIZE MATTERS! Most of us will collect figures from multiple sources and do happily mix metal, plastic, and resin figures. Given this diversity, the individual figures will naturally vary in height and bulk. Within reason, this naturally leads to more realistic looking armies. However, even within a single manufacturer’s range there can sometimes be notable differences in scale. However, where such differences look too unsightly there is a simple solution, basing. Combining flat MDF or plastic bases with the ‘pedestal’ type bases your miniatures can be granted a few extra millimetres in height. Alternatively, you may choose to base multiple miniatures on the same base and boost the shorter figures with a little sand, or filler, under their bases.
