EAGLE OMELETTES

The Elf scouts were falling back in the face of the Orc and Goblin attack; a shrill horn signalled their retreat back towards the treeline. The noble Elf archers sold their lives dearly but were being overwhelmed, crude Goblin arrows peppering the ground around the warriors as they huddled together behind their magnificently patterned shields. Their demise seemed imminent.

Just at the point of total collapse, Snotgrub was aware of a dark shadow flying above their heads and blotting out the sun. He barely had time to turn around before the Giant Eagle crashed into the Goblin ranks, sending dozens of them hurtling into the undergrowth twenty feet away. The talons of the great bird crushed a stupid-looking Goblin with a rusty spear, while the huge bird pecked at the skull of another, caving in his primitive helmet and skull all in one motion. Even more fearsome was the half-naked Elf, adorned in jewellery and intricate tattoos with his immaculately coiffured hair. Snotgrub had a last, final moment to breathe in the disgusting scent of the perfumed Elf Lord before his head was cleanly lopped off with one swipe…
