The book starts with a brief overview of the theatres involved, followed by the key changes and challenges each country faced as the war progressed. The book introduces several new rules to the Chain of Command system, and these apply to all theatres of operation. Changes include amendments to force morale tracker and in the way a platoon must start to withdraw units from the table back to their jump off points when their morale breaks. Significant changes cover Green troops, hand grenades, and the effects of smoke. Probably the most significant change is the variable number of Chain of Command points required to do special actions rather than having to save up a whole Chain of Command dice.
