Far from being a simple drop in mod, the Caravelle floor rails involve a few more parts than simply the rails themselves. You’ll need the reinforcing brackets and the specialist VW square drive bolts and nuts. The real skill of the conversion comes in cutting the ply floor to suit as the original Caravelle item is cut to account for the Caravelle plastic side panels. You’ll also have to remove a considerable amount of heat shields and drop the exhaust system / fuel tank to gain access where all of the bolts need to line up beneath.
