“it’s just this sort of grass roots enthusiasm that keeps a scene like ours alive” I met a lad in a motorway services recently on the M6. Bear with me, it’s not as bad as that sounds. Contrary to what you might be thinking, it wasn’t some kind of clandestine rendezvous. There was no flashing of headlights and no changing of Bluetooth names to reflect number plates (apparently that’s the number one way to identify who’s, ahem, up for it). Nor was it a pre-arranged gathering of like-minded Transporter geeks. The truth is I’d just stopped for a coffee, and certainly wasn’t expecting a really cool Van to park up nearby and its owner to then engage me in conversation through my sleep-deprived haze.
