First of all, let’s remember we’re looking at T4 California Campers in and around the £10k bracket here. It’s unlikely we’re going to find a decent 102bhp, 2.5 TDi, and certainly not a late / 150bhp model, in that price bracket, so we’ve narrowed things down already.
If you’ve never driven a T4, before you start shopping overseas, test drive a few vehicles in the UK to get an idea of how they perform. It’s a bit cheeky but, if you have a local club, pop along to a meeting and have a chat with a few owners. If you’re lucky, you may be able to blag a test drive in a couple of different options.
