Just lately I’ve become somewhat fixated with the idea of VWs cruising together to and from events. Those of a similar age will remember it was once a very big part of car show culture, and driving in convoy to Bug Jam and Run To The Sun was a huge part of my youth. In fact, I’d say it was responsible for the obsession with all things VW I live with today. But in recent years the cruise aspect of events has become less and less popular. So a couple of years ago, a group of us set out to find some events that included the aforementioned cruise, or ride out, but all we turned up was Brighton Breeze (London to Brighton) and V-Dub Island (on the Isle of Wight).…
