I have just bought my first ever VW, a 2000-plate, 2.5TDi T4. I plan on carrying out the conversion to a Camper myself over the coming months (years?). I think the key to keeping them on the road nowadays is being able to weld yourself. As a result, they’re just on the cusp of reaching bona fide classic status.
