I think a huge part of the coolness of Gulf, especially in recent times, ties into the long association with Porsche, Heuer watches and enthusiasts of both; neither brand is particularly aimed at the budget-conscious among us, but they aren’t shouty like a gold-wrapped Lamborghini either. Think of understated coolness that keeps people guessing what you have in the bank. It’s for this reason that anything with the Gulf roundel logo on just seems to adopt an air of cool, of being a bit of a rogue, but also with strong gentleman undertones; I’ve seen a Gulf logoed Bullitt edition motorbike a lot around where I live; riding that would be likely to at least help to get you laid in my humble opinion.…
