Knighty is reminded just how eclectic the Transporter world within VWt really is

Let me start by wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. As I sit here with a mince pie in hand, checking proofs and adding a few captions to the VW Fab Festival event report (see p74) in this ‘Winter’ issue, I find myself pining after those lazy summer weekends I love so much. And as I work through the other features in this issue, I’m reminded just how diverse the Transporter scene is these days. I’m fully aware that my opening words all too often revolve around my preferred niche i.e. road trips, VW weekenders and spending time camping out in my ancient coachbuilt T4, or the VWt bargain basement T5, but that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in the next guy’s passion.
