Alarming issue

Dear VWt, while touring Devon last month the remote key fob stopped working on our 2009 T5 conversion, which was an inconvenience but certainly not a problem. However, we did notice another problem in that sometimes we’d unlock the Van on site using the key, but would then notice the indicators were flashing for some unknown reason – as if the alarm was going off, although there was no siren. To stop the lights flashing I’ve been locking the Van, then unlocking it again and starting the engine, which seems to do the job.
