U shaped beds are nothing new, but they’re quite often seen as a budget option; we’ve all seen the old school T25/T4 campers where the bed is a janky wooden box wrapped in brown carpet and maybe this is where the stigma of wooden beds comes from. Having owned a ton of campers myself, I can honestly say that the comfiest bed of any of them was in my first, a 1971 Danbury VW Camper which had a bed that was made up out of the wooden seating units and the table; it was also the biggest bed of any camper I’ve ever owned, so maybe Mark is on to something……
