I don’t want to sound like a moany builder complaining about the cost of driving an older diesel in London, so I’m going to flip the angle and talk about how I’m hoping to have saved enough on diesel taxes to cover the cost of my new (albeit used) T6 work Van within a few years. I’ve mentioned it before but, to recap, my ‘real’ job involves pretty much daily trips to the big smoke with a Van full of tools and supplies in order to manage various building jobs and contracts.
