Don’t worry, there’s no vodka in this salsa, just the kick of chillies and a little Worcestershire sauce, so more like the Virgin Mary cocktail really.
It starts with tomatoes (seeded and chopped) and includes cucumber, onion and sliced, seeded chillies. Next comes a good glug of Worcestershire sauce (add some hot sauce if you’re feeling saucy), a splash of olive oil, a few chopped olives and seasoning to taste.
Finally, I like to squeeze in the juice of half a lemon and lime for a little acidity. Mix well and you’ll have a surprisingly lively salsa that goes with just about anything.…
