THE X-RATED VAN

Here’s a straightforward case of an airbrushed long-nose T4… Or is it? The absence of a rear tailgate provides a clue if ever there was one

FIRST THINGS FIRST. THE van featured here was photographed not for the T4 of the long-nose variety it was, but for its airbrushed story. And in that respect, its white van man plain and simple Candy White paint, that’s LB9A for any anoraks out there, gave Nimbus Airbrush Art, or super talented Kev Hill, the best possible metal canvas to work on. Owner Wayne Dixon had an idea of what he wanted; all Kev had to do was knit a story of horror together with a suitable script. Of course, developing a story to suit the van’s panels and then producing instantly recognisable portraiture is far less simple than it sounds, but even a casual observer, and a complete ignoramus when it comes to the world of horror will recognise…
