Les billets pour assister à ses déplacements se sont envolés en quelques minutes et ont même fait l’objet d’un marché noir. Ces tickets, gratuits, ont ainsi été revendus sur Internet à des prix exorbitants : 5 000 dollars pour apercevoir François à Philadelphie ou encore 250 dollars pour suivre la procession de Central Park.
