“Yael Naim” Lettre à Michel

Si on ne présente plus Michel Polnareff, on peut le redécouvrir grâce à cet hommage porté par une dizaine d’artistes, dont la chanteuse israélienne.

Écouter Certes, ce n’est pas la première fois qu’un disque rend hommage à l’œuvre de Michel Polnareff mais l’artiste, qui n’a cette fois pas participé, a néanmoins encouragé la chose en affirmant qu’il adorait entendre d’autres versions de ses chansons. Et il est servi ! Pomme interprète à la guitare sèche Qui a tué grand’maman ? Indochine habille Mes regrets d’une pop baroque et Laurent Voulzy apporte une sophistication étincelante au Bal des Laze. Mais c’est peut-être Yael Naim qui est la plus surprenante car ayant grandi en Israël, elle propose une adaptation en anglais de Lettre à France (devenu Letter To France) qui s’échappe complètement de l’originale. « J’ai fait jouer l’inconscient car n’habitant pas en France, je ne la connaissais pas vraiment.
