Bad is back!

2024 marked the much-anticipated return of the Bad Camberg vintage VW meeting. We weren’t going to miss it for the world

The first vintage VW meeting at Bad Camberg in Germany took place in 1979, organised by the late Heinz Willi Lottermann. Heinz’s son, Ferdinand, explains: “Over 20 years, the meeting gained a worldwide reputation under his direction, which very much put Bad Camberg on the vintage VW map. “After his death, and during the sale of the [Autohaus Lotterman] car dealership, my uncle Michael, and his wife Biggi, stepped into the breach in 2003 and took over the organisation of the meeting. with my support. They managed to keep the meeting at a high level by improving other details but, after 16 years, they and their family decided to stop organising the event.” The end was nigh?
