Having spoken to Dean Jones at length about this car, and having checked out all the videos about it on the Classic Car Revivals (CCR) YouTube channel, it’s clear this has been a lengthy and involved project. In fact, its owner, Jay Macree, originally approached Dean in 2016 with his ideas for the car. At that point, the floorpan had been restored by Flatlands Engineering and fitted with Red9Design double wishbone front suspension and steering rack, as well as being modified for a Porsche 915 five-speed gearbox and Porsche 944 IRS. Jay wanted CCR to carry out one of their Porsche 996 radial mount disc brake conversions front and rear. It’s fair to say, things evolved a bit from there.
