VOGUE HOMMES Comment vous êtes–vous retrouvé à travailler pour Gianni Agnelli ? STUART THORNTON Je suis né au nord–est de l’Angleterre, à Newbigginby–the–Sea, une station touristique huppée. Mon père et ma mère travaillaient déjà comme majordome et gouvernante au service du duc et de la duchesse de Northumberland. C’est là que j’ai appris le métier. J’ai ensuite travaillé pour Karim Aga Khan. Et en 1974, l’Aga Khan a invité Gianni Agnelli en week–end à Saint–Moritz. J’ai dû faire bonne impression à Monsieur Agnelli car il m’a tout de suite proposé de travailler pour lui. J’étais tenté mais aussi un peu gêné de quitter l’Aga Khan comme ça.
