Cumbrian couple’s plan to break Brexit deadlock

BREXCLUSIVE! IN 2019, the contentious issue of where to place the border between the EU and the UK was solved after the two parties signed the Northern Ireland Protocol, a binding treaty which avoided the need to have the border on the mainland by placing it in the Irish Sea. But barmy Brussels bureaucrats have recently been causing trouble by insisting that both parties abide by the terms of their agreement, leaving the UK government little choice but to ignore the treaty it signed. Illegally breaking international law has been deemed perfectly legal by Attorney General Suella Braverman, but such a move could still attract criticism from the government’s loony left detractors and prove yet another headache for Downing Street.
