Pint-sized star cooks own set brekkies

LAST month saw the release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, the seventh instalment in the long-running smash hit movie franchise. And in this, as in the previous six films, pint-sized star Tom Cruise insisted on cooking his own breakfasts during filming. Every bacon sandwich, sausage and egg bun and full English that Cruise ate during production was cooked up by the actor himself, despite the fact that professional caterers were avail-able on set the whole time. “Tom thinks the only way to get a breakfast right is to do it himself. He’s a perfectionist,” said the film’s director Christopher McQuarrie. EGGSCLUSIVE! “Every other actor in the cast was happy to step back and let the professionals rustle up their breakfast for them.
