But charity shops are full of bags of golf clubs at knock-down prices, and you don’t have to fork out to play on a golf course… if you have your own in your back yard!

We’re going to show YOU how anyone can turn their garden into an 18-hole Championship golf course, complete with tees, fairways, bunkers and greens. 1 The Tee EVERY game of golf begins with the tee-shot at hole number 1, and this is generally by the club house. You should situate the tee of your first hole near your back door. Keep the grass short so as not to interfere with your drives, and put some sort of marker with a ‘1’ on it nearby. If you have hard standing, such as concrete or patio slabs, then drill a 6mm hole in it using a masonry bit so that players can insert their tee.
