Dear Dr ‘Big Rig’ Welby, WE ALL know how difficult it is for a rich man to pass through the gates of Heaven – more difficult than it is for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, according to the Bible. I’m not a particularly rich man, so I imagine I’ll be okay getting into Heaven, but I’m a lorry driver and I was wondering if it would be possible to get my rig through the gates? My truck is about 8’ 6” to the top of the cab, but that can go up to around 14 foot depending on the height of the container. Would that be clear of the ornamental ironwork over the top of St Peter’s Gate, or does Heaven perhaps have an HGV…
