WITH the dust finally settling on Daniel Craig’s explosive final appearance as James Bond in No Time To Die, the rumour mill is once again speculating on who is next in line to don 007’s iconic tuxedo. Traditionally, the part of the spy with the licence to kill has been played by white male actors such as George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton, but even though series producer Barbara Broccoli hinted in a recent interview that Bond could be any ethnicity or race, she still believes that the character needs to be played by a human being. But what if the next James Bond was a TV puppet? It might sound outlandish, but with production costs for blockbusters increasing every year due to inflation, recasting the Bond franchise with puppets instead…
