AS we all know, as the temperature outside rises, so do sales of ice creams; for years, schoolchildren have learned this in science lessons as a demonstration of a correlation of two events. But what they are not taught is that the linking of these two variables is only true up to a certain extent. And according to research, as the temperatures this summer push beyond 50˚C, sales of ice cream will go down.
